After several months of snow and ice, Spring is finally starting to make an appearance and we couldn’t be happier! Just because our name is Frostbite doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy warm weather 🙂
It’s hard to believe we’ve been open almost four months now, but we couldn’t be more thrilled with how welcoming everyone has been within the Asheville Community. All the love we’ve received from each of you, local blogs, word of mouth, Yelp, Facebook, TripAdvisor and so on has really been great and we can’t thank everyone enough.
Since opening we’ve revamped a couple items and are continuing to upgrade, modify, and adjust items within our shop based on feedback from you all. We’ve done charity days, added loyalty cards, stickers, ice cream cakes, and a Frostbite newsletter entitled Frostbits, and more treats are yet to come from our wonderfully creative staff! (If you’d like to receive Frostbits, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org)
With Spring comes fresh ideas and flavors (Key Lime Pie!), so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to get all the latest flavors and specials. More changes are coming around the shop, so stop in often! Thanks Asheville, keep spreading the word, and, as always, Get Bit!
The holiday season is a time of giving and compassion for many, but there are some organizations that create a positive impact on the community and others year-round. Here at Frostbite, we are reminded of these amazing groups and their commitment to creating warmth, wellness, and love for those in need.
Having just begun our journey with Asheville, we’d like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the outpouring of support from our community by giving back. To that end, we have asked our staff to identify organizations and charities important to them; in the coming days, Frostbite will be donating 50% of its pint sales and 5% of its total sales to these organizations.
On December 22, Frostbite will honor Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Western North Carolina, nominated by staff member Danielle. On December 23 and January 5, Frostbite will honor Our Voice, nominated by staff members Anna and Britney. More will be coming in January!
We at Frostbite are committed to giving more than just amazing desserts to our community, and we hope that Asheville will join us in supporting these amazing organizations. We wish everyone a healthful and happy holiday season, and a wonderful New Year!
-Jason and Caleb
As we continue into the holiday season, the Frostbite team would like to sincerely thank all of Asheville for the overwhelmingly warm welcome we have received. Our goal when starting this was always to make people happy by bringing the best ice cream and treats we could make to as many people as possible and you are all helping us to make that happen! We hope to continue to be able to bring smiles to Asheville faces for a long time to come.
As many of you mentioned, opening an ice cream shop in November may seem like an odd way to do things. We aren’t a chain working on a fixed design, budget, or scheme. Part of being a member of this wonderful community is helping it to grow and thrive, and we got here as fast as we could while still doing things the right way and contributing to the local revitalization.
The coming weeks and months will see many more changes to the shop and the area immediately surrounding us. If you’ve been by at night, you may have seen that we’ve gotten lights installed to make the area brighter, and we’re attempting to work with the city to get sidewalks fixed and the crosswalk repainted. Many other changes and surprises are in the works – keep your eyes out and stop in to say hello! Your support, feedback, and continued patronage will make all of this possible – so please continue to help Un-Chain Asheville and shop small, shop local! Come Get Bit!
